It is a gentleman's agreement to drink and not talk. I've had a hard day and now my brain is going soft. Living like I am living is not done for a lark. My poor body has been aching from the dawn until the dark. I am laying out my message just as clear as they come. I take my licks, and pay my dues, and toil, and groan. You play around and lay around all day in your home and at night you go cavorting with your girls and your boys. I do not spare a second for the fussing and noise. If you are forgetful I will bring you back to square one. When I get to heaven and I meet my Lord, I'm going to get to work so I do not get bored. A man is measured only by the ways that he has paved. There is no reward for any sweating you save. Let them say of me when all my living is done:
